The Pleiades

The Pleiades star cluster (aka Seven Sisters ) are a group of more than 800 stars located about 410 light years from Earth. The prominent stars in the cluster are bright, hot stars that illuminate the dust surrounding the stars producing a beautiful blue glow.

In Greek Mythology, the Pleiades were seven beautiful sisters who were pursued relentlessly by the hunter, Orion. To save them, Zeus turned them into stars.
