Baby Eagle Nebula

The Baby Eagle Nebula is a portion of the large cloud of dust and gas known as the Taurus Molecular Cloud The brownish color is caused by large dust grains embedded in the gas and reflected by the nearby stars.

​

This little eagle is SUPER dim and very hard to capture during the cold winter months. The image is made up of 170 exposures totaling 8.5 hours.
