Sunflower Galaxy

The Sunflower Galaxy is a flocculent spiral galaxy located just under the handle of the Big Dipper.
Unlike other spiral galaxies, flocculent spiral galaxies do not have well defined 'arms', instead they appear to have many discontinuous arms.
I really enjoy looking at the tightly wound spiral in the center of this galaxy.
The sunflower was imaged across three nights for a total of 123 exposures making up 6 hours worth of data.
